Been to the pharmacy in recent months? What mom hasn’t. Recently, I was in my mommy happy place (otherwise known as Target) and saw that the in-store pharmacy changed.

Being a former midwestern gal, I immediately recognized the CVS Pharmacy brand and hustled over to the counter to see what was new. Here are a few things I learned–and am now already enjoying–that make managing my family and their healthcare easier thanks to the CVS Pharmacy location in my local Target store.
1. I have one less stop to make
The time drain of running errands is real. Convenience is king for me, and having one less stop to make if I’m on my lunch break from work or one less occurrence of getting kids in and out of my car if they are with me? Yes, please! Note that, because CVS at Target is a store within a store, they can’t ring up Target merchandise at their counter. Instead, I can swing by the main checkout lanes for my other store purchases, and I still only need to find a parking spot once and can keep my kiddos in the same shopping cart. That’s a win.
2. I can manage my prescriptions anywhere
All hail digital tools I can access anytime, anywhere. Both CVS.com and the CVS Pharmacy app makes managing prescriptions easy. It’s brilliant, actually. Refills and prescription pickup are now a snap for the whole family. Also, their digital receipts mean less paper and more convenience with submitting expenses to my healthcare flexible spending account.
3. I get rewarded
I am no extreme couponer, but I do love the perks loyalty programs provide. With CVS ExtraCare Rewards I can earn rewards by filling prescriptions and more and then redeem them at CVS.com. Plus I get $5 in ExtraBucks Rewards for every 10 prescriptions filled.
4. I get special care
Once you have an account with CVS, you can access industry leading health care services, support, and clinical programs like Maintenance Choice (for 90-day mail order prescriptions), Pharmacy Advisor (face-to-face counseling for members with certain chronic conditions) and Specialty Connect (allowing pick up of speciality prescriptions at any CVS Pharmacy). All of these can help my family navigate the ins and outs of pharmacy care.
If you’re ready to take the step of using CVS Pharmacy at Target, visit their website, sign up for ExtraCare Rewards, and download the app so it’s ready when you need it! The next time you or someone in your family is in need of some TLC, I hope CVS Pharmacy makes your day a little better too!
