Pedalheads is a Learn-to-Ride summer bike camp for kids 3-10. The camp offers children an opportunity to build on their biking skills with week-long half-day and all-day kids camps. Pedalheads has over 75 locations across North America and three planned locations in Portland this summer: Eastmoreland, Laurelhurst, and SW Portland.

Since 1986, Pedalheads has taught over 250,000 children to bike and develop confidence, independence and physical skills, using their own teaching methods, combined with small classes and exceptional instructors. Traffic and densely populated urban areas make it difficult for parents to teach their children to ride bikes. Kids need the confidence to ride safely on the road, in parks and around the neighborhood. Pedalheads provides children an environment to prepare them for the road. Some children, even as young as three, can learn to ride without training wheels upon completion of camp.

Coding with Kids offers a variety of STEM summer camps for children of all skill levels from ages 5 to 18. Our proven curriculum drives engagement and learning outcomes, while our small class sizes ensure plenty of personalized attention. We have a wide range of camps and locations to choose from!

Join us this summer to explore the fantastic world of engineering through our fun, hands-on summer camps! Engineering For Kids brings science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to kids 4 to 15 in a fun and challenging way through classes, camps, clubs, and parties.

Our camps are separated into age groups and designed to engage and inspire all kids, no matter their experience level, to merge their creative and analytical processes through both directed and open-ended projects. NW Dance Project’s Summer Programs offer exceptional weekly curriculum. Dancers will experience the joy of dance taught by Portland’s finest teachers as they are mentored to push and develop their creativity, ideas and versatility. With an open and inclusive environment that values the creative process, our program develops coordination, balance, individual expression, spatial awareness, flexibility, strength, and group cooperation skills. Our philosophy focuses on technique, movement, strengthening and conditioning, versatility and creativity to support a balanced dance training education.

Our Junior Dance Intensive is geared for more advanced dancers interested in a comprehensive curriculum of techniques – Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary Jazz, Hip Hop, Improvisation, and Choreography.

Summer Dance Classes and Dance Weeks are a great introduction to dance and offer dancers of all levels the opportunity to gain an understanding of how their bodies move and how to communicate through dance.

Little Loft is a haven for little makers! Join us for summer camp where children will explore their world and discover themselves through visual arts.

Themes include self portraits, collage and collections, fiber arts, African American artists, and a new dollhouse week, where campers design and furnish their own dollhouse! Our sunlit studio is a perfect summer setting for budding artists, ages 5-10.

The Green Schoolhouse provides a summer camp experience for children ages 5- to 10-years old using the magic of a garden to encourage a child’s sense of wonder, imagination, and adventure. Campers are welcomed at 9:00AM and say goodbye at 4:00PM.

This year we have brought back some of our camper’s favorite weeks with a new twist and plenty of brand new adventures! From forest fairies and garden gnomes, to planting and preparing feasts, we are excited to share your summer. K-Lean’s Tennis Summer Camp, Portland’s best kids’ tennis program, is a junior development program for kids ages 5 to 17. We focus on providing a FUN, fast paced, and a game based approach that adds excitement and enjoyment for the kids as they learn through a progression of drills and games specific for each of the levels of play.

K-Lean’s Tennis, directed by USPTA Professional Kaleen Worley ,will provide high quality instruction for  Portland tennis families. Delivered with passion, loads of energy, and an environment for the kids to realize and attain their potential on and off the court.

The summer program at The Children’s Garden Field Office location is 10 weeks of fun and learning for students who have a wide range of interests. Presenting exciting STEM camps, along with a NW Art Intensive and Wilderness Adventure camps – something for everyone!

We offer full day and part day camp options for students 5-9 years old. Join us at our brand new, state-of-the-art location and celebrate summer in the city! All campers will enjoy lunch and snacks provided by our in-house chef and take advantage of our beautiful nature-based playground.

At The International School’s Language Immersion Summer Camp, children will enjoy a world of fun while learning Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese.

Language and culture will come to life through hands-on projects, songs, games, outdoor fun, and more! Activities are designed to be engaging and fun while also developing and enhancing language skills.

NWCT’s award-winning theater camps are taught by top theater professionals! All classes and camps are divided both by age and experience level and cover a wide range of topics.  Students can hone specific theater skills, such as costume design or stage combat; audition for, rehearse, and perform a play; or explore the world of theater through themed play, art, and games!

All NWCT classes and camps are tuition based, and there is no audition required to participate. NWCT Summer Camp runs June 18-Aug 24, 9AM-12PM and/or 1-4PM. One week and two week options available. Before and aftercare available.

Join Hands On Art & Play for summer fun! Hands On offers 8 weeks of camp for preschool children. Every week has a new exciting theme. Each day our teachers will lead a group of children through art and craft activities, a special snack and plenty of outdoor play. Open Signal’s wildly popular spring break and summer media camps are back, and we’re offering early-bird discounts on our summer camps until March 30!

During our Spring Break camp, which runs daily from March 26 through March 30, students will form teams and create short films from script to screen. They will also have the chance to create shorts for the nationally-recognized 90-Second Newbery Festival.

We will also host seven summer camps for youth ages 8 to 18, taking place weekly from June 18 to August 20. Classes will focus on many types of filmmaking, including animation, documentaries and viral videos. Students will learn about HD camera operation, storyboarding, audio production and editing using high-quality software and equipment. There will also be a special camp for young female-identified/non-binary filmmakers.

No prior experience is necessary, and final projects will air on TV!

Shaking the Tree offers week long immersive theatre camps for children aged 5 – 14. Each camp is based on a a children’s book or collection of short stories. Every day students works their way through the story, choosing costumes for their characters, and acting out scenes. By Wednesday they pick their favorite three or four scenes to perform, on Thursday they make sets and prop pieces for the play, and on Friday they rehearse one last time and then perform their collection of scenes for family and friends.

Shaking the Tree classes are small and individual attention is given to all students. Emphasis is placed on storytelling and the imagination so that children get to build a world together and live it for the week. Many children return annually as it is their favorite week of the summer.

From magic to martial arts we have got the diverse experience you are looking for at Peninsula’s summer program. Each week enjoy a different theme to get your imagination and your body activated and make some lasting friendships in the process.

We have a Little Friends program serving ages 3-6 with a maximum of 20 kids and a School Age Program for ages 6-10 serving a maximum of 30 kids. Join us all summer or just one week at Faubion School for some unforgettable summer fun!

Summer Rocks! is all about music! Our week-long camp experience builds kids’ self-confidence, creativity, musical knowledge– and culminates in one killer show at the end of each week. Each band is led by an instructor and kids are grouped together by age and skill level. On the last day of the week, the bands perform live on stage in a free concert for all their biggest fans – you!!

Camp runs Monday-Friday 9am-3:30pm and is best for kids going into 1st-8th grade. Total beginners are welcome. Kids are welcome to play any of our instruments (drums, guitar, bass, piano, ukulele and plenty of mics) or bring their own. Our teachers are highly experienced and can help guide a kid on just about any instrument throughout the week.

Lunch is “bring your own” and we make sure to get outside and enjoy the summer sun for at least an hour each day. Campers are encouraged to bring their favorite music to share with their bandmates! This will be a week they will always remember!

Since 2004 FairyCamp® has provided an ecomagical arts and sciences program that allows children to develop and celebrate their intuition and connection to nature.

The curriculum includes activities and projects that honor the earth and deepen our communication with “fairies,” plant and tree devas—intelligences found within nature.

Campers will enjoy daily activities like Nature Crafts, Rainbow Yoga, Making Potions, Animal Telepathy, Fairy Fashion, Teenie House Building, Pixie Theater, Art Projects with Recycled Materials, 5Rythms for Children, plus many other treasured experiences!

Polaris Dance Theatre offers a wide variety of summer dance programs for students of all ages! Whether your child is completely new to dance or an aspiring professional, we have a program for you! Make your child’s musical dreams a reality!

Since 1998, Ethos has offered award-winning music camps for kids of all skill levels to focus on one instrument or genre for a whole week. Campers are placed in small groups where they learn the basics of an instrument, play songs, work as a team, create a band name, and put on a show at the end of the week. Campers are also treated to professional concerts, workshops and creative activities. It’ll be an unforgettable summer of music and a lifetime of memories!

Ethos offers week-long full-day Rock Band, Hip-Hop, Guitar, Percussion, Piano and Strings Camps from 9am – 4:30pm for kids ages 6-12. We also offer half-day Rock Band Camp for kids ages 11-14 and half-day Vocal Camp for kids ages 8-14. Half-day camps run from 9am – 1pm.
