It started with a dream ( and a lot of hard work) and it has turned into the little company that could! joy & wonder theatre creates both productions and classes that awaken the senses, imagination and playful natures of students and explorers with our brand of immersive theatre. In immersive theatre a world is brought to life before your very eyes that you are invited to play inside. All the voices in the room are listened to and because of that storylines may be changed and shaped by the people in that particular audience on that particular day. We ask that everybody enter a space of play in order to discover how to use our skills of empathy, deep thought and total joy to create a unique theatrical experience in both classrooms and production venues. Come join us as either a student, an audience member ( explorer) or both! Located in and around North Portland we look forward to interacting and creating with you!

The Service Learning Project (SLP) is an action civics program for elementary, middle, and high school-aged youth. Through our in school, after school, and virtual programs, our students become leaders and agents of positive change in their communities by working together to help solve social problems of their choice.
