Good Times at PMB’s Sip + Shop {Event Recap}

0

Last month, a collection of rad, mom boss ladies gathered at Frigg’s Mercantile in Northeast Portland as part of Portland Moms Blog’s first ever Sip + Shop event. The idea was simple: bring together a dozen female entrepreneurs who each hosted a pop-up shop within the Frigg’s space. Add wine to the equation — and possibly massages! — and those who came by to enjoy the event would not be disappointed.

Fortunately, that turned out to be the case! Naturally, it’s always a good time when our friends at One Love Cellars are on site, offering wine tastings of some of their faves. Check out this local winery (from nearby Turner, Oregon) and all the incredible things they are doing.

Many of the vendors on-site are part of the MOB NW, a networking group for mom-owned businesses (MOB = Mommy Owned Businesses). It was a natural fit for these mompreneurs to join up with PMB for an evening event! Cassie of Sseko Designs and Righter Professional Services was key in bringing these ladies together. Thank you to all you did to make the event a success, Cassie!

Check out the photos to see some of the pop-ups at the event! If you’re looking to support local mamas on their entrepreneurial adventures, consider getting in touch with these rockstars. The fantastic mom-boss ladies who were at the event included:

Laura with The Macaron Mommy (um… delicious!)
Maria with CHOW THIS! Salsa and Pickles
Shelly with DoCake
Christine with Smart Coffee
Arica with Beautycounter
Veronica with Manaloa Massage
Mandi with Lularoe
Mayla with Daisy Day Designs
Lindsay with Chalk Couture with the Chalk Lady
Krista with Monat Hair Care

Many thanks to those who were able to make the event! With fashion, food, and massages on-site, there was something for everyone. Though each attendee was guaranteed a pretty rockin’ swag bag, most left with an addition 1-3 bags in their hands of Portland mom-boss goodies!

We’ll be sure to host these kinds of events regularly in the future, as a great way to connect PMB readers with ways to support business-owning moms. There were tons of awesome deals and plenty of food/drink samples to make the event worth the trek. If you missed it last go-round, be sure to follow Portland Moms Blog on Facebook or subscribe to our newsletter to stay in-the-know about upcoming events!
