Thanksgiving To-Go: Portland Options for a Pre-Made Feast

1

Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to gather with family and friends… except this year. In true 2020 fashion, many of us are upending our plans and foregoing the typical Thanksgiving experience. With so much upheaval in this season, why not take one more thing off your plate (see what I did there?) by ordering your Thanksgiving meal pre-made by a local business? Support our local economy and give yourself one less item on your to-do list!

Below are some of our favorite PDX-area options. But HURRY to get in your order! Most of these offers have deadlines in the next day or three and they are selling out fast!

Thanksgiving Scene Topaz Farm offers Farm-to-Plate Thanksgiving boxes, available for pick-up on Wednesday, November 25 or early Thanksgiving morning. Boxes contain Thanksgiving fundamentals and take about 20 minutes to warm up! Plus, for each box sold, they will provide a box to someone in need. Ordering deadline is Friday, November 20.

Specialty grocer Sheridan’s offers a full spread, with your choice of entree, sides, and pie. Choose from a 1-3, 4-6, or 7-9 person version, with pickup available through November 25. Orders required by November 21.

Deliliah’s Catering offers curbside pickup on Tuesday or Wednesday for orders placed by November 19. Customize your meal with this popular catering option! Delivery options are available for a small fee, depending on distance from their location.

Mix it up with Thanksgiving pies from Pacific Pie Company, with savory turkey options as well as traditional seasonal desserts. Add in sides such as mashed potatoes and gravy, parmesan green beans, or cranberry sauce to make a customized meal. Pickup available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and meals only need to be reheated.

Pick up a turkey or ham dinner from Elephant’s Deli, with your choices of sides, salads, soups and sauces. Pick-up available out of eastside or westside locations; orders must be placed by 1pm on Friday, November 20.

Huber’s is a local favorite — with a children’s menu! Their Thanksgiving menu lets you pick-and-choose your options, with house salads and breads included with entrees. Order online and schedule pick-up.

Lee Ann
Lee Ann moved to Portland in 2008 following an eight-year stint in Paris, France, where her eldest was born. Though she thought nowhere could compete with the City of Lights, the City of Roses immediately stole her heart. As a great place to raise kids, she loves getting out and exploring the city and the PNW with her husband and four young children. While in France, Lee Ann earned a B.A. in Journalism and a Master's in Linguistics at the American University of Paris and L'Universite de Paris - La Sorbonne, respectively, before returning stateside to become a Speech-Language Pathologist through the Portland State University graduate program. Throughout her studies, she kept one foot in the digital world, writing content for publications and creating websites for clients. After many years as a medical Speech Pathologist, she left to the field to continue freelance writing, become the owner of Portland Mom Collective (!), and to create a crafting/workshop space for PDX makers. She likes to spend whatever "me" time she can muster making soap, geocaching, jogging, sewing, and staring at the wall with no small humans talking to her.
